Nori — Brawl Stars draft guide
Where Nori sits in the current ranked meta, the build to run, and how to use them in a draft.
Draft verdict
Very strong. Reliable first-pick material on most maps.
Draft role: Assassin. Pick Nori when the draft needs that slot filled.
Kit
Fishing Fury
A charge-based slash — Nori casts his fishing rod forward, and the longer the charge, the farther he dashes through enemies, dealing damage. At max charge he can jump over walls. Hitting enemy brawlers generates fish, which power up his abilities.
Catch of the Day
Nori dives into water, then emerges after a delay to deal area damage. The Super consumes all fish collected so far — each fish increases the size and damage of the resulting blast.
Build
Gadgets
Sushi Snack (recommended, ~63% pick rate — consumes up to 3 fish to restore 1,000 health per fish, 12-second cooldown), Gonna Need a Bigger Net (roots the first enemy hit and deals damage).
Star powers
Big Haul (recommended, ~61% pick rate — captures 3 fish whenever his Super hits an enemy), His Mother's Son (gains increased speed with each main attack hit).
Gears
Damage (primary, ~36% pick rate — 15% extra damage below 50% health), Shield (secondary, ~28% pick rate — 900 bonus consumable health).
Recommended build
Sushi Snack gadget + Big Haul star power + Damage/Shield gears.
Stats
7,600 HP, 2,200 damage, 3.7-tile range, 820 movement speed (very fast), 0.1s reload.
How to play Nori
- Fish management is the core of his kit — land hits to generate fish, then decide whether to self-heal (Sushi Snack) or bank them for a bigger Super.
- Damage Gear suits aggressive close-range fights when already low on health; Shield Gear is stronger for the opening exchange but needs downtime to regenerate, so it fits slower-paced modes better.
- His very fast 820 movement speed and wall-jump at max charge make him a strong flanker — use the charge time to reposition, not just to close distance in a straight line.
- Time the Super's delayed area-damage emergence carefully — it rewards prediction over reaction, similar to other delayed-burst assassins.
